The Dog and Puppy Training Olympics - With Your Pet!

If dogs and puppies trained for the Olympics, what would they do? This is a class that meets three times, each focusing on a different dog sport; obedience, agility, and nosework. This class is for you and your dog.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
If there was a dog and puppy Olympics, which sports would be included? We will focus on a different dog sport each class in this session that meets three times. In the first class, we will learn obedience. Sit, down and stay will be taught, as well as other obedience skills. The second class will focus on agility. We will learn basic handling skills over a small jump. The third class will be nosework. Put the power of your dog's nose to work as we teach him to search for treats. Each class will begin with information about the dog sport of the day, then we will work on skills with our dogs. No prior experience required. If your dog already knows the basics of the material presented, you will be given additional skills to work on.

We will be working with your dog during class. Please have a clear area to work in, either inside or outside. If your floor is slippery, a small rug or something like a yoga mat is advised. All ages of dogs welcome, however very young puppies might have a harder time keeping up. Please see the supplies list for what is needed for class.

I have competed successfully with my dogs in many canine sports. I have titles with several different breeds of dogs in multiple organizations. In agility, I am a judge in training. I teach others how to find success in working with their canine partner.
