Class Experience

In this one time class we will read the story "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywalt. This book is full of humor and will make you think twice before you use "that crayon again".
We will discuss 'point of view'. ( Do we have a point of view? What is our favorite color crayon?)The teacher will then read the story to the students, stopping along the way to ask students about the point of view of each crayon. Together we will create an graphic organizer that displays the point of view of each crayon. Students will understand that each crayon has their own point of view for quitting that is important to them. Students will be able to create their own graphic organizer if they wish too as well.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about point of view, recall major events in the story, express what their own pint of view is.
