In this ongoing class, the students will follow Gabe, Laura and Cesar and their mysterious neighbor, Dr. Gustav Bunsen as they deal with outrageous adventures such as toys coming to life. Yikes! Can these students handle it? Come join my book club as we find out what crazy situations happen in each book and how these friends solve the problems. *I feel that reading, both alone or with a group, has an impact on who we are and how we interact with the world around us. No matter the students’ ages, or whether it is in a small group setting or large group discussion, conversing about books tends to turn into conversations about being human. Book clubs give each learner a sense of belonging and provides connections in many ways. My ultimate goal is to design a positive, affirming experience each time we come together. ** My teaching style is organized and full of fun while being relaxed and friendly at the same time.
