Class Experience
In this ongoing class, the students will follow Gabe, Laura and Cesar and their mysterious neighbor, Dr. Gustav Bunsen as they deal with outrageous adventures such as toys coming to life. Yikes! Can these students handle it? Come join my book club as we find out what crazy situations happen in each book and how these friends solve the problems. *I feel that reading, both alone or with a group, has an impact on who we are and how we interact with the world around us. No matter the students’...
*The student will work on developing and sustaining foundational language skills: listening, speaking, discussion, and thinking; oral language. *The student will work on developing comprehension skills by reading assigned texts, making predictions, making personal connections, and generate questions before, during and after reading. *The student will use text evidence to support an appropriate response. *The student will be able to describe the main character’s traits. *The student will be able to describe and understand the main events, the conflict, and the resolution. *The student will be able to discuss the author’s purpose for writing the text.
*I am an experienced elementary teacher and reading specialist. Reading is my passion and I love inspiring reading in the younger child!
