The Daily Unwind: Mindfulness & Reflection, for Kids 11-14

In this class, we will practice mindfulness, partake in reflection and goal-setting via freehand writing, perform stretching and breathing exercises, and share our thoughts, feelings, and reflection journey with others.

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will de-stress, unwind, relax, and recharge with this class. This class provides students with a safe space to practice freehand writing skills, implement goal-setting and journaling, and reflect and debrief on their week. Students will practice mindfulness, meditation, and heightened awareness. This will also help them unwind and relax for the rest of the night.
I am passionate about people! My joy is motivating and inspiring others and I hope to do that with all of my students.

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Management - Finance from Boston University, and am halfway through my Masters degree in Human Resources and Leadership from Northeastern University. I also hold certificates in Human Resources (PHR and SHRM-CP). I have four years of experience teaching children in a Early Child Development Center (ECDC program), and have also created curriculum for a Montessori school in Texas. 
There is no homework required. As an extension of this class, you can help your child continue to journal, perform deep breathing exercises, reflect, check progress to goals, and meditate (all optional). Should your students enjoy the class and want to continue, would be open to making this an ongoing class. 
Please ensure the student is wearing clothing they feel comfortable moving around in. Please come with either a few pieces of paper and a pen or pencil, or a journal/diary. Please also bring something soft to sit on (yoga mat, soft blanket, carpet or rug, towel on grass).
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Safety and privacy are my top priorities. Students will need an open workout space and  something soft to stand on. Injuries can occur if not properly supervised. (The class consists of light stretching)
