The Dadalorian: A Star Wars Father's Day Drawing

In this one time course students will learn the enriching and calming practice of drawing fascinating patterns within the shape of a Mandalorian helmet.

Homework
1 hour per week. No assigned homework, however students should finish their art project. They may post their artwork to the classroom page, I love seeing what they make!

Class Experience

Class will start with a quick introduction by the teacher. Then the students will be lead in a drawing of The Mandalorian's helmet. Teacher will discuss the process of focusing on pattern drawing. The teacher will guide students in recreating a particular pattern. Students can follow along or make their own patterns.
Students will interact with and inspire one another by showing their art work, their interest in The Mandalorian show and Father's Day.
At the end of class the teacher will talk about finishing their artwork and encourage students to continue to create more patterns. 
The goal is for students to have a fun and stress relieving experience while learning about this style of art and creating something in which they can take pride!

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students may be asked to turn on their camera for introductions. Students will also be asked to show their artwork, however they are not required to do so. I am excited to see what they make!
Supply List
Drawing paper, pencil, pen, marker, such as a Sharpie. These pattern types are usually black and white. However, this is ART! Therefore, if students choose to use color that will work.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
