In this 4-week flex course, students will use the interactive platform Nearpod to learn cryptocurrency terms, types of cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin), how to buy and sell cryptocurrency using a digital wallet and various exchanges (Coinbase).

Students will be able to: Week 1 *Match basic cryptocurrency terms with definitions. *Describe cryptocurrency. *Describe blockchain. *Explain the value cryptocurrency has. *List companies that accept cryptocurrency as payment. *Decide if cryptocurrency is a good investment for you. Week 2 *Analyze the pros and cons of Bitcoin as an investment. *Differentiate between Ethereum, Cardano, and Polkadot. *Compare and Contrast pros and cons of Binance Coin. *Describe the Dogecoin crazy and analyze if it is still a joke coin or a viable investment. Week 3 *Describe an exchange and list several exchanges. *Demonstrate knowledge of using the Coinbase exchange. *Explore how the Binance.US. exchange is used. *Analyze the pros and cons of the Kraken exchange. *Differentiate between Gemini and Coinbase. *Decide if BlockFi is something you would use. Week 4 *Describe a wallet. *List the steps in funding your cryptocurrency account. *Explain how to buy and sell cryptocurrency. *Differentiate between hot and cold storage. *Analyze fees from various exchanges.
