Class experience
There are so many choices when it comes to composing music on a computer. In this crash course, you will learn ways to compose music, edit the music you've composed, and mix it so it's ready to be heard! We will also discuss types of music that are commonly produced on computers. Each class will be tailored around the types of music and questions learners have. We will start class with a question and answer period, a lesson on the technique we will learn that day, time for the learners to...
You will spend: Class 1 and 2 writing your songs Class 3 and 4 editing the form, layout, and notes Class 5 and 6 mixing the music. Writing music will give you experience in inputting and adjusting notes. Editing will help you learn how to change the volume of the notes and tracks. Mixing will allow you to practice adding final touches to your music.
I have a Bachelor's in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games from Berklee College of Music. I use Logic Pro X professionally for music composition.
You need a computer (Macbook Air or Macbook Pro) with Logic Pro X (Logic Pro) installed. Logic Pro X: https://www.apple.com/logic-pro/ A MIDI keyboard and studio headphones are optional.
