The Creative Musician: Enhance Your Music With ProTools and Kontakt Komplete

Students will learn the techniques to create professional songs using ProTools Intro. This includes recording software instruments, creating a distinction between melody and harmony, adding rhythm, adjusting the volume, and adding reverb,

I am a professional film score composer and have experience using ProTools and Kontakt. 

During each class, learners will work on composing their own music or work with me to write a song together. The skills learned in each lesson will build on each other, following the style of music the learner prefers. Working on their music between classes is encouraged but not required.

Learners will receive a written assessment of their song's progress. A letter grade can be provided if requested. Parents will receive monthly written progress reports.

45 minutes per class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Access to a computer that can run ProTools Intro and Kontakt Komplete Start is required for this class. It is recommended that learners be familiar with playing a musical instrument. Suggested sources are a MIDI keyboard, headphones or high-quality speakers, and notebook or music staff paper.
