You work hard on your cosplay and you deserve an award! Come to this one-of-a-kind award ceremony, hosted by internationally known professional cosplayer Mama Cosplay. You DO NOT need to be an experienced cosplayer to receive an award, nor do you need expensive cosplay. All styles and all levels are welcome and ALL who attend will get a cosplay award title. Just to make things fair for all cosplayers, there will be a cosplay costume theme challenge every month. **** Parents, please note- You will get a welcome email. There will be a link to the classroom. Please click that link to see the costume theme for that month's costume challenge. Every month has a new costume challenge.*** What to expect: Arrive in your very best cosplay that fits the assigned challenge, which will be posted in the classroom. I keep the costume challenges simple and inexpensive, using items you already have in your collection. Bring your props if you have them. Be announced by Mama Cosplay as if you were walking a red carpet. There will be a cosplaying secret judge and that judge will assign everyone a cosplay costume title. As you are announced you can explain to the secret judge your concept, creation, and any considerations the judge should ponder before making their decisions. Once everyone has had their "Flex Time" to show off their costumes, the judge will appear on camera and the winners will be announced. There will be awards for wig styling, makeup design, canon outfits, creative outfits, best use of theme, personality awards, and many, many more! And again, everyone who attends will win an award. ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME! Do not be worried if you are new to cosplay. Goals: To take pride in the artistry of cosplay, receive validation for that hard work, and gain confidence as you share your cosplay with others and make new friends from around the world. This class is ideal for: Cosplayers who enjoy a larger group class. There are 18 spots open for cosplayers. Cosplayers who enjoy seeing their peers in cosplay. Cosplayers who can be patient as others explain their cosplay to the judges. Cosplayers who enjoy a fun, outgoing teacher who will be in cosplay. Cosplayers who enjoy a lively, active, sometimes excited atmosphere. The Cozzies! Where every cosplay who attends receives an award for their hard work and artistry!

Our leader! Mama Cosplay! Mama Cosplay is known worldwide as the "Internet Cosplay Mom." Mama has a large social media following due to her portrayal of original anime characters, and her engaging, loving, encouraging way with children. Not only is she a cosplay mother figure, but she's also skilled in all areas of cosplay. Mama knows it's more than just having the cosplay skills. You have to be able to connect with children AND be able to communicate in a manner that makes the child excited to learn more. Mama excels at cosplay education with clear communication presented with pizazz, energy, and enthusiasm. Mama has over 100 wigs, even more costumes, cosplay accessories, and an endless supply of makeup. Mama is a top cosplay influencer, which means companies provide her with any costume item she wants. She is also paid to speak at cosplay conventions and is a cosplay cabaret show producer! She's also the mom of 3 child cosplayers, one of which is also a professional cosplayer! Mama has developed over 50 unique, original cosplay classes and events since she began her educator career with Outschool. Top sellers include Mama Cosplay's Cosplay Prom, The Cozzies Cosplay Awards, Crimes Against Cosplay, cosplay parties for every holiday, private cosplay instruction, and private parties.
One thing we must mention is that Mama is also known for bringing shy learners out of their shells. Many children begin her classes feeling awkward, and with much social anxiety. The transformation that happens in her classes is incredible! Soon those shy children are social butterflies and many have gone on to become big names in the cosplay industry, and/or surrounded by new friends, and many are now looked up to as mentors for young cosplayers.
Bucky- every cosplayer's big brother.
Bucky is an outgoing, bubbly, fun, inclusive instructor who quickly rose to popularity here on Outschool because he's close enough in age to the students that he relates to their generation, but old enough to lead them properly and with much enthusiasm. Bucky loves to cosplay from many fandoms, is an avid video gamer, and is very enthusiastic when it comes to all things cosplay and anime. Students love Bucky so much they have made Bucky cosplay playing cards, Bucky fan art, and Bucky memes. You can find Bucky on the schedule every other Sunday.
Lore: (Mama's child) Lore became a professional, sponsored cosplayer at age 15. Lore is sponsored by major costume companies, wig companies, and makeup lines. Lore was a teacher's assistant on Outschool for a year and is now an official Outschool cosplay educator. Lore leads the Five Nights at Freddy's cosplay group, the DSMP group, The Scariest Cosplay Group, and more!
Ari- Ari is a professional chef and leads the Cooking With Cosplayers series.
If you want your cosplayer to learn from cosplayers who represent the very best in the business, and will properly guide your child through every aspect of cosplay, please give the educators at Cosplay Is Life a try. Mama truly cares and wants your child to leave class feeling happy, encouraged, praised, and enthused!
