We will begin this class with learning about French author Alexandre Dumas and his time period. We will discuss social status as well as living conditions and timeline of historical events. Students will then work individually and make predictions about the characters in The Count of Monte Cristo. Throughout the class we will keep track of the plot events as they unfold and discuss cause and effect. Students will keep a journal or their thoughts on whether or not the characters are...
