I have a Masters degree from Tulane University in Molecular Biology with a particular emphasis in virology. I've published work on Dengue Fever and the immune system and I've taken the World Health Organization trainings on the Coronavirus. This class has been created with consultation with medical professionals on the front line of the COVID pandemic and all information is from peer reviewed journals.
None, but I will have a simple optional handout for taking notes if students would like
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
students should be familiar with some basic biology and scientific terms. If students are unfamiliar with parts of the cell or DNA/RNA they might be interested in my other virus classes.
