In this 50 minutes virtual tour, we go on a fantastical adventure through Barcelona, Spain to learn about this super cool city and learn it's incredible Architect Antoni Gaudi. First, we will have a quick intro to Barcelona, Spain. Then, we will learn about Antoni Gaudi's life, his influences, his impact on architecture in Barcelona and the world, his founding of Catalan Modernism, and how his works influence architecture today. Next, we will learn of his first commissions in Barcelona (they were lamposts). Then we explore his works throughout Barcelona including, his dream neighborhood of Park Güell and Palau Güell. Then tour some of his coolest apartment designs of Casa Batlló and Casa Milà and Casa Vicens then finally we learn all about his unfinished masterpiece of the Sagrada Family and Nativity Façade and Crypt of the Sagrada Família. 7 of Gaudi's works have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites (that's kinda a big deal) and we are going to find out why. By the time you have finished this class, you will be a mini-expert on Antoni Gaudi and dreaming of visiting Barcelona one day. Are you a world traveler or dream of being one? No prior experience required. ** I hold a Degree in Communication & Culture. While obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture, I studied and researched communities and their use of culture as an expression to communicate with others. I am TESOL and TEFL certified (Teaching English as a Second Language). I am a world traveler who has been privileged to have lived and traveled in many different countries across the world. I am very excited to share my knowledge with your Learner through this course!
