Measuring, mixing, chopping, stirring, rolling, plating food and more are part of skills learned in these exciting classes. Each week, we will prepare and cook a new dish: 2020 meu: Nov. 4: Stuffed pepper boats + guacamole + baked chips Nov. 11: Rice with bean and vegetables + salad Nov 18: Veggie curry + naan bread Dec. 2: Salmon fishcakes + tzatziki Dec. 9: Arancini + salad Dec. 16: Fish parcels + pasta 2021 menu: Jan. 13: Meatballs + rice Jan 20: Mac & Cheese + salad Jan 27: Khachapuri! Feb 3: Meat pie with a surprise (can use Beyond Meat for vegans) Feb 10: Baked Pasta with Cashew Creamy Sauce! Feb 17: Crusted Salmon or Cod + rice Feb 24: Lentil soup March 3: Rice Paper Rolls March 10: Cauliflower “mashed potatoes” March 17: Macaroni & cheese + salad March 24: Quinoa Tabbouleh + Zucchini Hummus March 31: Eggplant Parmigiana April 7: Corn Chowder and Surprisingly Extra Delicious Kale Salad! April 14: Sushi April 21: Mejadara (Delicious lentil dish) April 28: Roasted Tomato soup + Fried Brown Rice Lettuce Cups May 5: Delicious Stuffed Vegetables May 12: Shrimp Rice May 26: Waldorf chicken boats June 2: Mini lasagna cups June 9: Chicken nuggets COMING UP: June 25: Baked tofu tenders (crisp on the outside and creamy inside with a super delicious dipping sauce) July 2: Zucchini Pesto Pizza Rolls All levels are welcome. If a learner has special requests for dishes to include in our ongoing classes, please do not hesitate to reach out to me :) Recipes will be provided after each class. My name is Nour Bahgat and I'm in love with teaching cooking classes that are joyful, heartwarming and most of all, that are healthy! I live in Beautiful British Columbia on Vancouver Island, Canada, and I'm thrilled to join you here at Outschool!
I've been teaching cooking classes for over 12 years. I'm a registered integrative health and nutrition coach, an environmentalist and a former professional athlete, ranked 2nd in the world junior ranking. I graduated from Trinity College, CT, and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, NY. As a member of the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC) and an Ambassador for Health & Happiness, I love sharing my cooking knowledge with all ages especially with kids! I have a 15+ years experience of teaching in various countries and international schools; public and private. I thrive on strengthening the connection of students with real natural foods and I especially enjoy working with kids and youth to increase their awareness of healthy cooking and nourishing eating while developing their life skills at the same time. I was also a MASTERCHEF CANADA candidate! I made it to the top cooks in both BC and in the country. In my free time, I love reading (cookbooks mostly:), playing with horses and spending time in nature!
