Class Experience

This is an ongoing Club that meets once a week or more and is open to all kids who want to hang out with a group focused on how to keep their cool, stay positive, and develop self-confidence and social skills.

*Each weekly Club meeting will be an "open topic" format, meaning that kids are encouraged to bring a topic (related to communication, emotions, and/or self-esteem, confidence, and positive mindset, etc.) or a challenge they're having that they'd like to discuss with the group.

We'll also share "Wins," encourage relationship and community building between the Club participants, and have the opportunity to talk more in depth about any of the class topics they've attended with me.

PARENTS: Each weekly Club meeting is designed as a "stand alone" format meaning that students can drop in to classes without fear of missing content discussed in the the previous meetings. For more in-depth discussion regarding how to handle emotions and build communication and confidence skills, students are also encouraged to attend one of my one-time or multi-day classes.
Learning Goals
Our focus is on the experience of building each student’s self-confidence and social and emotional intelligence skills by connecting, sharing, and exploring topics that interest them. This is also a place to work through real-life challenges and apply the tools they've gained.

Parental Guidance
I've created this club in response to the many requests I've received from parents of kids who have attended my classes (especially "I Don't Know What to Do with My Feelings: How to Handle Emotions and Change"). This will be a safe space for like-minded kids to bond and dive deeper into the topics introduced in my classes. I'm so excited to be able to create this community of awesome kids!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Capella University
I earned my first coaching certification and started my own business in 2006, after completing my successful 20-year career as an on-stage performer turned executive with the Anheuser-Busch Entertainment Corporation.

In 2016 I earned my certification in applied positive psychology by dedicating more than 300 hours to the study of positive psychology research and application, and then launched my best-selling book, "Practical Bliss: The busy person's guide to happiness" the same year.

I'm so passionate about the benefits of practicing positive psychology and emotional intelligence that I now incorporate it into all my work with personal and professional development (teaching adults and kids around the world).

I'm offering this Club to students because I know how important it is to be able to understand our emotions, and why we have them, so that we can take control of our actions and create the best life possible!
