***Sign your learner up for this one-time class and I'll send you a coupon code to save $50 on any of my full college application essay classes.*** Confused about what the college essay application is? Feeling paralyzed by writer’s block any time you sit down to start an essay? Writing a college admissions essay can seem scary and intimidating--not the best way to feel when you are trying to write! But with the right approach, the process can actually be lots of fun. In this one-time class, students will explore a short personal essay by a well-known writer as well as a sample student essay in order to get a better understanding of what a personal essay is and how it differs from other academic writing or fiction writing. They’ll also get started with some low-key, informal prewriting exercises which will help them move past writer’s block, get some words on the page, and start to think about possible topics for their college application essay. While this class will help your learner get started writing their college application essay, it’s a great choice for any student from ages 13-18 who would like to learn more about personal essays and how to write them.
