In this one time class learners will listen to the story of the Chocolate Chip Ghost, a fun and festive halloween story (not scary) that practices, counting, colors, following directions, and the names of food. We will talk about colors and food, complete a cute worksheet practicing colors and talking about your learners favourite foods. Learners can chose to sing along to song Five Little Pumpkins a movement and music excise practicing counting numbers 1-5. Learners will receive a flash card number matching game, a counting pumpkin counting worksheet. I love to teach with passion and excitement. My goal is to keep learners focused and engaged in lessons and create an environment that inclusive and provides learners with opportunities to express themselves. Children are not required to speak but I love to hear learners share. Learners can chose raise there hand in class if they wish to speak and will be provided with a talking pumpkin to raise when they wish to ask a question or participate. Before attending this class Learners should have some practice identifying colors, have some knowledge of healthy and unhealthy foods, and have some practice counting. Learners should also celebrate or have an interest in Halloween and understand what is real and pretend.

There are no Graphic images or scary content in this lesson but please take the time to talk about Halloween and make believe esp. the subject of Ghosts before attending.

I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University where I obtained a degree in Education and Human Development with a focus in intervention . I l have experience teaching various subjects including but not limited to English, English as Second Language, Phonics, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension and fluency, Math, Art, Yoga, and Social Skills, Soft Skills, Mediation, and even Cooking. I have spent the past few years teaching on other online platforms and I have a passion for making online learning fun, student centred, and interactive. I'd love to teach the subjects mentioned above, provide personalised tutoring and intervention, as well as other classes that interest my students here on the Outschool platform.
When I am not in the classroom or lesson planing I love to be outside spending time with my pets. I have three cats, a dog, and even two adorable hermit crabs. I love chickens as they are my absolute favourite animal although, I am not currently raising any . I enjoy painting, swimming, mediation, yoga and hiking. I can't wait to meet your student and hear all about their hobbies and interests.
