Class Experience

When I was a little girl, my hair was considered, in short, an unruly, hot mess! We did not have internet and how-to videos to search and remedy. All I had was my sweet mother with the "patience of Job" combing through my hair section by section. I know there are many young ones (and parents) who have similar experiences, so my hope is that, with my guidance, your child will gain knowledge to last a lifetime on how to care for their stunningly beautiful curls! I have done extensive research to come up with a simple, comprehensive way to create a mostly homemade system for curly hair. First, we will do a little experiment with our hair, examining its porosity and identifying our hair type. With this information, we will investigate oils, and why some are moisturizers and others are sealants. We will also talk about ayruvedic herbs and masks for promoting hair strength and growth. Finally, we will have the information to create a hair care regimen that will make the most out of your curls. My teaching style is very interactive and energetic. My hope is that your child learns that curly hair is beautiful and can be manageable; it just requires a certain level of understanding and time. Let's learn to embrace and enhance our beautiful qualities from hair to toe!

I will allow 10-15 minutes at the end of class for questions, and of course, they can always leave questions in the chat box.

This class is long and informative! Have paper and pencil ready for note taking. We will be taking breaks to play Kahoot! to enhance and enrich learn during our time together. Hi hope you are as excited as I am!

Hello and welcome! I'm Mayra, a digital marketing enthusiast, dedicated educator, mindset coach, and your guide on this exciting journey into digital entrepreneurship and personal development. With a background rooted in network marketing, fitness, and personal training, I've always been passionate about empowering others to achieve health, wealth, and joy.

My transition into digital marketing was driven by a desire for flexibility and impact, bringing my personal training business online. Over the past two years, I've immersed myself in the digital world, acquiring a wealth of knowledge through various courses and hands-on experiences. From building sales funnels to creating compelling content and mastering email marketing, I've not only learned these skills but have successfully applied them to my own brand and theme pages.

In entrepreneurship,I have become a student of personal development. There are a lot of ups and downs in which I've had to develop a growth mindset. I've had a ton of practice and coaching to think positively regardless of circumstances, allowing me to make the best decisions professionally and personally. It gives me great pleasure to share my passion for developing a growth mindset in others as well.

As a mother and an entrepreneur, I understand the value of time and the importance of having the freedom to pursue one's passions. This understanding is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I strive to make my classes not only informative but also engaging and adaptable to real-world scenarios. My goal is to equip the next generations with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in the ever-evolving world.

I am the first American-born in my family (from the Dominican Republic), I have 4 homeschoolers, 27 chickens, and a dog, Bella. Another fun fact: I was Miss Pennsylvania in the Miss America system in 1998! It was an amazing experience! If time and money were plentiful, I would be at the beach, crocheting, reading and studying history, Hebrew and Scriptures. And maybe write a few books.

Join me in this adventure where learning meets practical application and enhanced quality of life!
