Description

Class Experience

Students will learn proven reading comprehension strategies in this comprehension club as we read the CKCC stories and comics together. Students do not need copies of the books. They may read along as I will display the pages on my screen using my Wacom digital tablet. Learners will love learning and practicing comprehension techniques through these hilarious stories. They will answer questions on characters, settings, problems, and solutions while making inferences and sharing their opinions...

Students will improve their beginning reading comprehension skills in areas of focus:

Story Elements (Characters, Setting, Plot-Problem/Solution)
WH Questions
Summarizing and Retelling a Story
Making Inferences and Predictions

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
