In this one time class, students will learn the basics of guinea pig care including how to hold the guinea pig, what bedding to use, other items needed, and what to feed them!
Class experience
This class is all about the adorable furry potatoes, also known as guinea pigs! Students will learn what items you need before getting a guinea pig, the best places to get them from, common habits, how to care for and feed them. Also in this class will be demonstrations with real guinea pigs on how to hold them safely, grooming, and ideas for fun ways to interact with the guinea pigs! Students will know the basics of how to care for their very own guinea pig after this class!
I have been a proud guinea pig parent for the last seven years, and my content is endorsed by the Knoxville Guinea Pig Rescue group.
Students may want a piece of paper or notebook, and pencil to take notes for themselves if they anticipate owning their own guinea pig.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If the student will be interacting with their own guinea pig, I request a parent be present for the animal’s safety.
