Class Experience

Always wanted to learn about how that thing inside your chest works? The cardiovascular system is one of the coolest, most amazing systems in the human body. The way it functions throughout the day when we go to school, go to work, sleep, eat, exercise and more is absolutely incredible. The best part, learning about the cardiovascular system, as cool as it is, doesn't have to be extremely difficult and, in fact, can be quite simple when you go about it the right way.

In this one time lesson,...

Students will learn the structure and function of the cardiovascular system, the major organs and structures involved in the system, and the roles of the system in the body.

I have a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) and a Bachelor of Physical Education (Honours) (BPhEd.) and have studied the human body's physiology, anatomy and biology for near 10 years. I am also a teacher who has taught science at the secondary level.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Due to the nature of the cardiovascular system, we will be talking about sensitive subjects such as blood and CPR.
