Each week we will have a different book from Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants series as our theme. Each week we will read the beginning of the book, discuss the events of the book, and students will receive a workbook after class.

Welcome to the incredibly funny and unpredictable world of Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. In this class we will read part of the book in class together, pause to discuss events periodically, and after class students will be sent a comprehension and vocabulary workbook. Each week students will bring their own copy of the week's assigned book to class and they will read along with the teacher (students can volunteer to read pages out loud based on their comfort level). After each class students will be sent an optional comprehension and vocabulary packet that they can complete to further engage with the book. This class is highly interactive and will provide each learner with many opportunities to participate throughout the lesson. Although it is helpful for students to read the books in order, it is not required for students to have read the previous books in order to enroll after the ongoing class has already begun. Since each week focusses on en entirely new book, students only need to bring that week's assigned book with them to class.
