This is part 2 of How to be a Kitty Kat Detective but don't worry if you haven't done part 1 yet my classes can be done in any order! My name is Detective Kitty Kat Meow McFluffy and I run The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International. I help children to explore and develop confidence in fundamental math skills and inspire a love of numbers through play. In this interactive and fun class students will attend The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International Training Academy and solve puzzles learn the skills they need to graduate and help me solve mysteries. Trainee Kittens will choose their own detective name, and learn how to use The Kitty Kat Code Breaker. Just before the class, I received a phone call from my cousin Captain Feral Kat. He has misplaced his most treasured treasure - a golden compass. Things have been going missing a lot lately and there is some mysterious singing from deep under the ocean... could it be the legendary mercats? I recommend this class as a fantastic introduction to The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International but if you have already joined the agency done some of my other adventure classes this class is another exciting adventure for you too. Trainees will have to solve puzzles presented on slides and use basic maths skills to solve the mystery. There will be individual and group tasks set and students will share their answers with the group. I welcome complete maths beginners alongside students who are confident in basic addition, subtraction.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their confidence in basic number skills including counting to 100, numberbonds to 10, addition and subtraction with objects to 20, counting in 2s, and understanding maths vocabulary including double and half.
Full instruction will be given in all of these skills so complete beginners are welcome.

Supply List
Colored pens, pencils, or crayons. You will need something to write with, something to write on, and 30 small objects (blocks/counters/pasta) for counting. I love dressing up but you don't have to... Whiskers and ears are encouraged but are very much optional!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
