Description

Class Experience

Students will improve upon their understanding of word play -- in particular how words and/or phrases that rhyme can be combined with alliteration, onomatopoeia, homonyms, anagrams, puns and more -- to form the basis for creative writing, storytelling and brainstorming ideas. This course will enhance their reading skills, their writing skills, their thinking skills and help them become even more creative in their language arts efforts.
Homework will be optional if students are feeling creative and inspired. For example, I'll end each class by motivating them to continue writing the story or ideas they've started, while also preparing additional thoughts, ideas and examples to share in class the next day.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
