Class Experience

Are you interested in acting? Are you curious about the movie industry? Do you want to know how your favorite movies are cast? Do you want to know the steps to become an actor? Do you want to know who works on a film set and what important film terms mean? Then you found the right class!

In this self-paced course there are five lessons for students to learn about the business of acting. This is not a course that teaches you how to act, but rather we will explore important elements of the film industry that aren't taught in an acting class. Each class will focus on a specific topic that will be helpful for anyone who is already an actor, wants to become an actor or wants to know more about the film industry.

Each class will have an activity to go along with it and ways to apply the information you learned. Through these activities, students will get a chance to put into practice what they learned and have fun doing it.

No acting experience required. This is a great class for beginners and anyone with an interest or curiosity about the film industry.

The following are the topics that will be addressed:
- Exploring Seven Types of Acting
- Jobs in the Film Industry
- Movie Casting 101
- How to Become an Actor
- Important Terms on Set

Consult the syllabus for a breakdown of the lessons and topics by week.

The course is structured into weekly lessons, each focusing on a different aspect of the business of acting. Students can progress at their own pace, ensuring a thorough understanding of each topic before moving on to the next.

Students will receive a video lecture and an exercise with every lesson to complete throughout the course.

By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in aspects of the business of acting and be prepared to pursue further training or performance opportunities with confidence. Enroll today and start your journey to becoming more confident and knowledgeable in the film industry!
