Nikola Tesla was an electrical engineer and one of the most formidable physicists in the history of science. He registered more than 300 patents and became famous for developing AC (Alternating Current). His other work contributed towards developments in wireless communications, radar, X-rays, robotics and many more. He is often called one of history’s most important inventors whose discoveries were way ahead of his time. In this class we will read and discuss the picture book ‘The brilliant inventions of Nikola Tesla’ by Tracy Dockray and learners will get a chance to answer comprehension questions on the text and draw their favourite invention at the end. You do not need a copy of the book, only a pencil and piece of paper for drawing. No prior experience needed, all are welcome.
