Description

Class Experience

When I was growing up, we traveled a lot, and I always looked forward to a new trip because my mother would buy a new stack of books for me. I would sit for hours in the back seat of our car and read. Whenever I ran out of books to read, I would read the billboards and every highway sign very loudly. That was rather tedious for my parents, so I'm sure that's why they always made sure I had plenty of books to read!

Combine my love of reading with my experience as a reading teacher and my masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and I believe you'll find that I'm prepared and pumped-up to help your student's reading experience be the best it can be!
Each week, I will provide weekly documents, links, etc. There is a variety of websites that we may access during our course. Students will need to have a journal for weekly prompts (paper or computer), and they will need to either borrow the book, "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" (John Boyne) from the library or purchase a copy. Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Boy-Striped-Pajamas-John-Boyne/dp/0385751532/ref=sr_1_3?crid=12TF4D5N99XGW&keywords=the+boy+in+the+striped+pajamas&qid=1559325835&s=books&sprefix=the+boy+in+the+%2Cstripbooks%2C172&sr=1-3
