Welcome to The Bookworms Book Club with Mrs. Sanchez! We take the time to read the story outside of class, have lots of discussion and comprehension games in class and then create a creative book report to present on the last day. There will be 3 chapters assigned to read at home before the class meets. When we meet our class time looks like: Would You Rather Discussion of last chapters Comprehension/Vocabulary game Book Project Work Time *Our creative project for The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling will be learner choice! My name is Clare Sanchez (or Mrs. Sanchez) and I am overwhelmed with excitement to introduce myself to YOU!
🍎 My Journey to Outschool 🍎
For most of my life I wanted to be a teacher. I went on to Minot State University to graduate in 2015 with a BS in Elementary Education and certificates in Early Childhood, as a Reading Specialist and ESL teacher. After college I went on to travel the United States for two years which led me to falling in love with Texas! In my career I have spent my teaching time in 5th grade, 2nd grade, Kindergarten and Preschool classrooms. Rarely will you see me post a class focused on one subject. You will find that all of my classes include a book at some point. Reading is powerful and through it we are able to learn everything else. Currently I live in Texas with my husband, our 1 year old daughter and our dog Honey.

My favorite book is Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz-Ryan, I read it for the first time in 3rd grade and haven't stopped since.
I could eat chicken strips and french fries for EVERY meal.
If I could have a pet giraffe I would 100% get one right away, they are the coolest animals!

As a teacher is always to build up a child's confidence in themselves! MY goal is for every learner to KNOW they can do hard things, sometimes failing and sometimes flying through. Either way they have the confidence to keep doing!
