Class Experience
Ah, the timeless debate. Which was better, the book or the movie? In this ongoing course, students will get to debate just that! Before class, they will read a popular book and then watch the movie version. A notetaking sheet will be provided to help them compare the two formats. During class, they will practice comparing and contrasting the two versions, engage in higher level thinking questions, all while practicing the art of debate. They will then vote on their favorite version. Help...
Before class, students should read the book and watch the movie. If they find it helpful, they can complete the graphic organizer to compare the two formats.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
