Class Experience
Welcome to The Book Nook! In this discussion-based class, we share the books we are reading and engage in discussion about them. I begin the meeting of The Book Nook by sharing a novel that I'm reading and my impressions of it. In my introduction to the book, I identify the author and title of the work and provide a brief summary of the plot (without spoilers!). I also share my review of the book, explaining what I liked and didn't like about the book as well as who might enjoy reading it....
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Before class, I send out a set of guidelines on the kinds of inappropriate material we will not be addressing in the Book Nook. If, despite these guidelines, leaners bring questionable material to the class meeting, I will restrict the sharing of this content in the group.
