In this class we will explore the world of some of amazing people from history. We will discuss their childhood, their influences, and what they did that left a mark on history. We will discuss the differences between them, and how the time period that they lived shaped their choices. We will talk about standing up for our own principles and helping others. This class is 3 weeks long, with 3 meetings each week. Each class will consist of a powerpoint lecture that will include recordings, pictures, and film. There will also be a guided discussion over what we have learned and the student’s individual thoughts and opinions regarding the lessons. Since this class meets so frequently, there will be no homework in this class (unlike the other The Bold Ones series). During each class, we will be completing a craft, drawing, or group project. Supplies needed for each class will be posted on the classroom page a week before class begins. Most of these topics have correlating "Who Was" books. These books are not required and will not be utilized in either the class or homework, but students are encouraged to read on their own.
