This one time course will provide students with a short summary of the Cold War, including its beginning and the events that led up to the Berlin Airlift, a year long operation that dropped roughly 2.3 million tons of cargo into West Berlin. This class will also discuss what the Berlin Airlift was, how long it lasted, and the results of the operation. The material will be presented via Power point, and will include informational slides, images, and several short videos that provide additional content regarding this topic.
Learning Goals
Students will acquaint themselves with the beginning of the Cold War, and also gain new knowledge of Operation Airlift.

Parental Guidance
The differences between communism and capitalism will be presented to students in an objective way. This is necessary when providing students with an accurate synopsis of the Cold War and why it happened.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
