This class is a basic overview of the three branches of the federal government: Legislative (Congress: House and Senate), Judicial (Supreme Court), and Executive (President). I like my classes to be interactive and I try to ask questions to keep them engaged. I will use a PowerPoint. In the end, we will play Kahoot to test and reinforce what they learned in class. So bring a second device for this game at the end. I have personal experience working in politics and government to share with my students. I went to two conventions and worked for a political TV station for many years.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from George Mason University
Worked for a political TV station for 10 years including two election years. Part of my job was to watch the House and Senate daily. I went to New Hampshire for the primaries and two conventions. Worked on a live daily show across the street from the Capitol and met many prominent political figures including four former Presidents. I also worked on a few history series such as a President's and a Writer's Tour. Later worked for a video company that produced video lectures on many subjects including political history.
