The students will learn the meanings of reduce, reuse and recycle. They will also learn how they can begin using these concepts at home and other places around them. We will look at different characteristics of items we use daily and decide...Can we reuse the item? Does it have to go in the trash can? Can it be recycled? How could we use less of these items. The students will have some project ideas to work on around the house as encouragement to help them and you!
Due to the fact my husband works for a recycling business, we focus on recycling in our house on a regular basis. Our children have big goals to save the planet!
I will provide a handout to keep giving examples of what is trash and what is not.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
