The Barbie Bunch Club: Interactive Social Time With Dolls

Welcome to the Barbie Bunch!  Each week the dolls will take on new challenges such as making a new friend or getting lost in the woods.  Class will begin with a show and tell session so we can meet the dolls (and learners) followed by some practice with improv skills.  We may tell a shared story with objects from a mystery box or play the categories game to practice quick creative thinking. The majority of class time will be spent playing with Barbies as they solve the weekly challenge.  The teacher will provide a prompt for learners to explore through playing with Barbies.  Learners will guide the conversation and work together to figure out a solution to the problem.  Visuals will be provided to help set the scene for the story topic of the day.  The teacher will also ask guided questions throughout playtime to engage all learners.  Class will end with a discussion of other possible solutions for the challenge and a special sign-off from the dolls.
