Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Intermediate Level
Welcome to the incredibly funny and unpredictable world of the Bad Guys. In this course we will read a different Bad Guys book together in class each week and we will stop to discuss the events of the book as we read. After each class, students will be sent an optional printable workbook with comprehension questions and vocabulary words from each chapter, as well as some extra bonus activities such as mazes and word searches.

This class is highly interactive and will provide each learner with many opportunities to participate throughout each class. I welcome all learners and I understand that some learners like to verbally participate often, while others may wish to just sit back, listen, and enjoy the book. Students who are learning English as a second language are also a good fit for this class as they are able to practice listening and reading skills and are able to participate verbally as often as they feel comfortable with. This class is taught by a full time public school teacher with an additional certification in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL).

Although it is helpful for students to read the books in order, it is not required for students to have read the previous books in order to enroll after the ongoing class has already begun. Since each week focusses on en entirely new book, students only need to have that week's assigned book with them when they come to class. Following is an outline of which books will be read each week:

1. The Bad Guys (Book 1) by Aaron Blabey
2. The Bad Guys in Mission Unpluckable (Book 2) by Aaron Blabey
3. The Bad Guys in The Furball Strikes Back (Book 3) by Aaron Blabey
4. The Bad Guys in Attack of the Zittens (Book 4) by Aaron Blabey
5. The Bad Guys in Intergalactic Gas (Book 5) by Aaron Blabey
6. The Bad Guys in Alien vs. Bad Guys (Book 6) by Aaron Blabey
7. The Bad Guys in Do-You-Think-He-Saurus?! (Book 7) by Aaron Blabey
8. The Bad Guys in Superbad (Book 8) by Aaron Blabey
9. The Bad Guys in The Big Bad Wolf (Book 9) by Aaron Blabey
10. The Bad Guys in The Baddest Day Ever (Book 10) by Aaron Blabey
Learning Goals

Hello Outschool families, and welcome to Teaching Done Different by Ashley Chambers!

A Message From the Founder:
As a current 3rd grade public school teacher of 5 years and a current Outschool teacher, I know that students simply learn different today than they did only a few years ago. This knowledge has required me to find creative and fun ways to provide Common Core curriculum to students in a different and refreshing ways that fits how kids learn today. When designing classes for Teaching Done Different it is always my aim to help students learn rigorous material in such a fun way that they don't even realize they are learning.
