CAUTION: Learners are provided ample time to BEGIN each baking project and shown how to finish the recipe for serving. Keep in mind, that these recipes may take additional time to complete.

Mise en place is essential to this class. Students must be prepared for class. Please have your ingredients and equipment ready. Baking is a science as well as an art. My teaching philosophy is to set my students up for success and teach them why we do what we do when we bake. In both my personal and professional experience, I found that bakers succeed through preparation, knowledge, and patience. My teaching style is interactive. I will use conversation, demonstration, pictures, the whiteboard, and slides to teach. My classes build kitchen confidence, and sanitation awareness, and foster creativity.

Come and join in while openings are available. Groups are welcome.

Parental Guidance
Recipes contain known allergens. Please read the ingredients thoroughly and check with your health care provider. Mixers, ovens, stovetops, and knives will used in this class. I strongly recommend adult supervision when using these appliances and tools. A healthy respect for safety and sanitation is important for students and their families. Individual guardians and parents are responsible for each student's health and safety. CAGO( clean as you go), safety measures, and sanitation practices are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Please support Teacher Elaine in her efforts to promote safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in classroom.
