By the end of the course, your child will have crafted and shared their very own story. Topics Covered: - Storytelling Basics: Understanding the essential elements of a good story, including plot, characters, and setting. - Story Genres: Exploring a range of short story types, from adventures and fables to personal reflections. - Character Creation: Developing interesting and relatable characters. - Building Settings: Creating vivid, engaging environments for stories. - Plot Development: Structuring a story from beginning to conflict and resolution. - Storytelling Techniques: Using voice, emotion, and body language to bring stories to life. - Story Presentation: Your child will share their final story in a performance session. Class Structure: Each session will begin with me telling a short story to spark your child's creativity. Together, we’ll analyze the story's structure, characters, and themes. Following this, your child will engage in guided activities to brainstorm and develop their own story. Throughout the class, I will provide feedback and guidance as they practice their storytelling skills and refine their ideas. Teaching Method: My teaching style is interactive and tailored to your child’s individual learning style. I use a mix of storytelling, discussion, creative exercises, and performance. With one-on-one attention, your child will be encouraged to explore their creativity at their own pace. Visual aids, storytelling demonstrations, and fun activities will help them bring their stories to life. Interaction and Engagement: In this one-on-one setting, your child will have plenty of opportunities to engage directly with me. They will: - Discuss Stories: We will talk about the story I tell, and they will share their thoughts and interpretations. - Participate in Activities: I’ll guide your child through storytelling exercises to build their own story. - Receive Personalized Feedback: Throughout each session, I will offer individual feedback to help them improve their storytelling skills. - Present Their Story: By the end of the course, your child will have the opportunity to share their story, receiving support and encouragement.
