Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello,

Currently, I am a 7th grade Science teacher. I have taught for 10 years including teaching students from 6th grade to 8th grade. For the last 6 years I have coached the High School Girls Bowling Team. I am currently certified as a Google Educator: Level 1 and 2, as well as a certified Newsela Teacher. I have just finished my Masters in Education with a K-12 technology certification.

All of the classes I teach online will be cross curricular. I love incorporating as many areas of study into my lessons to allow students to see beyond just a science topic and how knowledge can be applied in many areas. I believe that education should not only teach students basic skills but push students outside of their comfort zones into exploring something new and exciting. I expect all students to work to their highest ability level no matter the circumstances they are in. Our history is what shapes our futures and I want to be a positive impact on those histories.

A few fun facts about me: I have two little boys (7 and 5). They keep me busy all the time. I absolutely love when they learn something new or when they teach me something new. I always try to push myself in learning new things to help better influence the students in my classroom. I am not only a bowling coach but I am a bowler myself. I also love to cross stitch (this may have to be a class).
