1-2 hours per week. Students will be required to complete the challenge every week.Class Experience
This ongoing class is designed to give students a chance to participate in a group setting of their peers who enjoy playing and building in the Sims like they do. My game will be visible to the students, but students will be allowed to share their gameplay as well. I encourage students to use their imaginations during gameplay and I will be issuing challenges every week to complete. When playing The Sims, the sky is the limit! I will be running Sims 4 but the students are welcome to play Sims 2 or 3 if that is the game they have. During the hour we are playing, I encourage students to share their ideas and knowledge or if a student doesn't want to engage in conversation, they can just share what build they have accomplished. In this class, students (and teacher alike) will learn how to access items, build themed areas and will also be given challenges to complete and bring back the following week. Students will have input on the challenges and how they want their club to evolve. Challenges for the first 4 weeks are: Jan 24: Create a household of 2 people Jan 31: Build a 2 bedroom house February 7: Create a storyline for 2 sims Feb 14: Furnish the house
Learning Goals
