Description
Class Experience
Students will learn multiple aspects of animal science. They'll also learn how to follow step by step instructions. They will practice fine motor skills and gain experience in using scissors, glue, paint, and other art supplies.
Usually, students will need to cut items out in preparation for class.
Nearly every project will require construction paper, scissors, and glue sticks or Elmer's glue. A project specific supply list will be sent a few days before each class meeting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance is required for the use of scissors. Also, the polar bear craft can become a mask craft with a little parental help cutting out eye openings and attaching yarn/string.
Videos may be shown only when they add value to illustrate a process or provide deeper understanding for learners. Generally, videos will be 1-3 minutes in length and seamlessly incorporated into the class discussion. No video will exceed 10% of the class time. Classes that use a video to enhance the lesson are noted in the full class description.
