Class Experience

Students will learn aspects of math, engineering and several science disciplines to include geometry, structural engineering, computer science, neuroscience, physics and molecular biology.
Some classes will require prep work prior to class beginning. Such work may include preparing materials in advance so the are ready to assemble during class.
Most activities will require: a pencil, scissors, cardstock, and glue. A specific supply list will be sent several days before each class begins. A few activities require special items like a cork board and colored rubber bands (geoboard), popsicle sticks (3D shelf), alphabet and pony beads (binary code keychain), paper straws (Thaumatropes), and white t-shirt and sharpies (tie dye t-shirt).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Most activities will be completed during the class time. However, a couple of activities may need to dry overnight or require cutting to prep for the class. Also, parental guidance is required for the use of scissors and hot glue.
