*** This class is at a lower price because I love teaching it but students haven't signed up. I hope to see you in my class! *** Bring your own plastic building blocks and build a challenge while we talk. The structure of our class will be: 1) Short Introductions to my classroom including the use of the mute button, being "awesome" to each other, and having a growth mindset. 2) Share a brick building challenge. In the challenge, I will present a prompt such as "Build a pet." I will show examples and discuss with each child any ideas or questions they have about their build. I will not teach a step by step way to build. My class is a chance for all students to answer the prompt in their own way, under guidance. 3) During the building time, I have two presentations. The first is all about ways that brick building can be used as art, including museum artifacts. This presentation will have mostly the same information each day. The second will change every day to show news about new brick building projects built by fans or professional designers. 4) Kids can present their projects My style is to be energetic for the activities and to care about the needs of each learner.

About my classes:
I am a patient teacher who will encourage your learner's problem solving and creative thinking skills.
When I begin class, I greet my students by name and check on our audio/video. Students do not need to speak if they choose not to. A wave or a thumbs up/thumbs down is fine.
I begin every class with rules for using Zoom and expectations of kind and respectful behavior.
I always say goodbye to each student at the end of class.
I want to be a great Outschool teacher and I welcome your respectful feedback.
I hope you will join me in class soon for learning, sharing, discovery, and fun!
