Class Experience

"I love to draw, I just don't know what to draw!!" Does this sound like you? The best way to get better at drawing is to draw and draw often. You can draw anything from animals to people, or dragons to landscapes; You can even draw the things that are in front of your eyes. See the colors, contrast, hues, textures that an artist sees when looking at everyday objects. In this weekly club I will offer you drawing prompts to get your creative ideas flowing. We will use and try out different mediums each week, improve our techniques with various art tools, and push our creativity forward!

Throughout the course of this club the elements of art and principes of design will be discussed as guiding points to help stimulate creativity and to help anchor the techniques that are taught. The elements of art include: color, texture, shape, form, line, space, and value. The principles of design include: balance, contrast, movement, emphasis, pattern, and unity.

Welcome! My name is Rocco Sepulveda.

I have been a certified teacher for over 10 years. I have also been a Digital Artist for over 10 years as well!

My classroom is a space where learners can shine creatively, make strides towards their artistic goals, and share their passions with each other. It is a safe space where students can openly be themselves. In my courses students will learn to become better artists as they practice different drawing techniques. These techniques include learning to sketch, learning to break a figure down into simple shapes, learning a layered approach to drawing, learning different styles of applying linework, and learning different methods for rendering artwork.

I look forward to having your learner in my class!
