There is no formal assessment. My goal is for each student to learn something new while having fun and being creative.Class Experience
Hello and Welcome to The ArKIDecture Academy! In this one-time class, students will learn how to draw in plan view. As a class, we will review slides and discuss plan view, 'architectural features' found on floor plans, and how to draw plans. Following the slide review, each student will have time to draw their unique floor plans, and design their chosen 'architectural features'. I will encourage them to express their creativity and share their ideas to the group. I love to incorporate fun and laughter into my classes while maintaining clear goals and expectations. Each student will finish class with an understanding of basic architectural floor plans and loads of smiles. This class may move quicker or slower than anticipated based on the needs of the individual students. Questions, conversations, and sharing are handled gently and respectfully by the teacher. I encourage the students to continue exploring their design ideas during as well as after after class. I recommend 'Before the Blueprints' prior to this class but it is not necessary. This class welcomes beginners. Just bring your supplies and a creative & open mind.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of drawing architectural flooplans. They will use 3D objects to teach them how to view and understand plan view when drawing.
