Class Experience

- The student will learn the key figures of the period and what they accomplished.
- The student will learn the major battles that were fought during the American Revolution.
I have two Bachelor degrees, one in Education and the other in History. I have a Masters in Curriculum development with a focus on History. I hold a Teacher Certification for History grades 7-12th. I have been teaching History for 8 years. I have also been trained by College Board and taught Advance Placement History courses for 5 of those 8 years.
Students will be given a biography sheet to complete each week. They will complete a little bit of it each week.
Students will be encouraged to review their notes so they can participate in our memory checks throughout the classes.
- Please have a way to take notes (I will provide students with all of our graphic organizers via PDF/PPT/DOC) they can fill them out digitally or print them and fill out with a pencil. - For our foldable during our 2nd class, you will need blank printer paper.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
In this course we will be discussing a period in history that covers war. Death, though not the main focus will be mentioned. Hardships of individuals and the struggles people faced during this period in history will be mentioned. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. I am happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
