Each week students will add a pocket of information to their American Revolution book. Learners will receive live step by step directions on how to construct their books as well as the activities that will go inside their pocket book. In addition, learners will go on virtual field trips to visit the Boston Freedom Trail and the Tea Party Museum. Week 1: Information about the American Revolution: fact sheet, map of the 13 colonies, and a time line, (Construct our History Pocket Book.) Weeks 2 and 3: Causes of the war: Evaluating the sides : Loyalist vs. Patriots The Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. We will also take a virtual tour of these sites via Google Earth. Week 4: Famous Patriots: General George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Paul Revere, and more! Week 5: A soldier's life: What was it like to be a soldier during the Revolutionary War? Week 6: Battles: land and sea battles, the turning point of the war, and Patriotic quotes from battle. Week 7: African American and Native American soldiers and war efforts. Week 8: Women and Children of the Revolution Week 9: Spies and Traitors from both sides of the War. Week 10: Birth of a nation: The war ends: Treaty of Paris, Constitutional Convention, and the Constitution is born.

Pdf files will be sent before class and will need to be downloaded and printed each week. 8 pieces of construction paper 12"by 18" any color yarn or string any color hole puncher ruler tape stapler glue/glue stick crayons, markers, or colored pencils

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
