  • At the end of the session, students should know why the different parts were included on the flag, basic etiquette rules when handling it, and the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance.
I learned a number of civics based lessons while earning my BA in Political Science and have been teaching civics to youth between the ages of 5-10 the past six summers at summer day camp.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will cover the 'under God' portion of the Pledge by explaining the historical reason it's in it.
