The Amazing World of Chris Van Allsburg

In this 6 week course, we will explore the books of author/illustrator Chris Van Allsburg. We will explore story elements such as descriptive writing, point of view, personification, character traits, plot and sequencing.

Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this class we will explore the books of award winning author/ illustrator Chris Van Allsburg and learn many literary elements while we read! We will cover point of view, character traits, descriptive writing, personification and plot. We will also do some creative writing to apply some of the techniques we learn. 
Each class will consist of a read aloud, whole class discussion, worksheets, and a culminating jeopardy game to assess knowledge at the end of the course. Learning can be fun!
