Beginner Level
We will be discovering the USA by identifying and exploring the states one by one. This is an ongoing class covering one state a week until all fifty states as well as the District of Columbia (Washington, DC) have been covered. Since the class is circular, students can drop in at any point and continue until they have learned all 50 states. All learners will be expected to participate in class. Students will be able to trace the shape of the state, identify it on the map, and share fun facts about it.
I am eager to have your learner join the students from 5-50 to whom I have taught English and American culture. Although my original BA is in Psychology, I have taught at three different universities abroad. I love students and I love to help them learn. I am eager to help North American students get a worldwide perspective drawing from my own experiences as a reader and a traveler.
