**** This is the Part 3 class of my "The Amazing Megalodon Shark" class series. Please make sure you have taken the first and second part of my Megalodon shark classes before enrolling your learner in this class. This class (Part 3) will build on and expand on what students have already learned in Part 1 and Part 2. **** **I am so excited to be offering this third part of my Megalodon shark series. Please be aware that this class will focus on paleontology and the earth millions of years ago. We will relate this to the Megalodon shark and its teeth. Please view the Learning Goals if you wish to see the specific information that will be taught. 1. Introductions: I will introduce myself, and I will ask students to share their name and age. 2. We will go over online classroom expectations. - We listen to who is speaking. - We raise our hand if we have a question or want to share something with the class. 3. I will read and discuss PowerPoint slides that provide information about the earth millions of years ago, where the Megalodon shark lived, and how/where we find their teeth today. We will pause to discuss what we are learning and check for comprehension. 4. We will answer a few comprehension questions about what we learned. 5. We will then draw a picture of us discovering a Megalodon shark tooth (and possibly a Megalodon shark that is still alive today… maybe). Your learner may have to finish drawing and coloring their picture after class. **Sometimes my classes run a few minutes over because students are excited and want to share what they know about Megalodon sharks. If you have to leave before I officially end class, I completely understand.
Learning Goals
In Part 3 of “The Amazing Megalodon Shark,” learners will learn more about where Megalodon sharks lived millions of years ago. We will discuss what the earth was like then and where Megalodon sharks were able to swim. We will connect this to where we find their fossilized teeth today. We will also learn about how and where we find Megalodon shark teeth today.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Sydney. I am 25 years old. I live in the USA. I love teaching students and helping parents instill a love of learning in their children. I have a fun, energetic, patient, encouraging personality. I believe learning should always be fun and exciting!
Below, you will find details about my education/work experiences, the classes I offer, and what to expect in class. You will also find important information on my transfer, refund, and class policies.
BACKGROUND:
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English. I have been working with children for seven years. I first started working with children at my local YMCA as a Summer Camp and After School Counselor. I currently work as a substitute teacher for grades Pre-k through 5th. I have been substitute teaching for four years. I also work as an online ESL teacher (for all grades.) I have taught English online to students for two years. I am TESOL certified. I began working as an Outschool educator in April of this year. I love Outschool, and I love being able to meet so many amazing students from all over the world.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS:
I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I hope to help foster a love of learning in your children, as well! My Outschool classroom is a fun, safe, positive space for students to learn and increase their knowledge. I encourage a lot of discussion and participation during class. However, I will never force a student to participate or speak if they are more shy and reserved. I strive to let everyone who wants to speak have time to share and ask/answer questions! I like to leave all student unmuted, if possible. However, if a learner has a loud background noise or trouble remembering to raise their hand, I will most likely have to mute them. However, I will always unmute them if they want to share something with the class or want to answer a question. I always monitor my classes to make sure there is no background noise that could be distracting to learners. I hope to see your child soon in my classroom! Thank you!
IMPORTANT INFO. ABOUT MY POLICIES:
*** REFUNDS
My classes operate under the standard, limited refund policy. Learners can withdraw with a full refund up to a week before class starts, or within 24 hours of purchase. Refunds are not given for withdrawals outside this window. According to Outschool Policy, if you miss a class, you are not entitled to an automatic refund. I know emergencies happen, but unfortunately, I am not able to offer a refund if your learner misses class. *Please read below for more important details about missing class and requesting a transfer.
*** MISSING CLASS & TRANSFERRING:
Again, I completely understand emergencies happen that may cause a learner to miss class. I will do my best to transfer your learner to a different section if contacted at least 2 HOURS before the scheduled class begins. After that 2 hours before class, I am no longer able to offer a transfer to a different section. If your learner misses a class, I can send you a recording of that class section so your learner may watch the class; or, you can contact Outschool Support to inquire about a refund.
*** SIBLINGS:
Please make sure that you have enrolled all learner siblings who will participate in class. Siblings are more than welcome to share a screen, but all siblings must be enrolled individually in class. This is to be fair to other learners, and it makes sure we do not exceed the expected class participant number.
*** ANSWERING MESSAGES AND CLASSROOM COMMENTS
Please test Zoom before class begins. I like to be fully present with students as soon as we begin class, and I do not access my conversations or classroom comments on Outschool after the class has already started. If you try to contact me during class, I will not be able to respond right away. I will respond to messages and classroom comments after my classes have ended.
Thank you for understanding! I hope to see your learner(s) soon!
Miss Sydney ❤️
